Myke Charles offers up ‘Hotel Confessions’

Even though Myke Charles is no longer on television with his group Urban Method, he’s still making music and making moves. For his latest, Myke dropped a video for his song “Hotel Confessions,” which we can say is pretty trippy.

“I wrote this song during my time in the hotel that I called home during my Sing-Off experience,” Myke said about the song “It’s a hip-hop song that documents the nostalgia and unease I began to feel living in a hotel. These emotions are manifested through a past and current (or what was current) relationship. When I write songs I give you my life and experiences through a very honest and raw scope. This is ‘Hotel Confessions.’ Enjoy.”

Foodchain brings a “Groove” to your lunch

If you haven’t downloaded Foodchain new album Brunch, you need to quit sleepin’ and handle that. It’s free, yo! (Download here)

In the meantime, check out the crew’s new video, “Groove.” Not sure what their problem is, but they just run into some diner and start messing up everyone’s lunch. Please, let them try that on me… well, if that song is playing, I might run with them though. Check it out:

Soulciety heads to the desert to bring you ‘Chapters’

As far as Denver’s music scene is concerned, there is a lack of R&B-focused singers and especially groups. One group of fellas, however, is trying to let it be known that there some cats in this town that can blow and make some noise.

Soulciety is a Denver quartet who are working on their debut album, In the Life and Times of… Vol. 1. Their first single, “Chapters,” just got the video treatment. Check it out:

Jon Shockness (of Air Dubai) covers Frank Ocean’s “We All Try”

For awhile now, Nathan Reid and the folks down with the Mercury Sauce crew have been producing Living Room Sessions, a series of music performances with some of Denver’s best musicians and singers.

So far the session has included one of our favorites Amanda Hawkins and singer Devan Blake. Both were great. But now comes a session with Air Dubai frontman Jon Shockness covering Frank Ocean’s “We All Try.” Check out the session here:

After the jump, check out the previous session with Amanda Hawkins and Devan Blake.

Video: Amanda Hawkins – “Do What I Gotta Do”

Amanda Hawkins (also known as Jane Doed) is the lead singer of rock band Della and one of Denver’s great versatile singers. Last weekend she killed it at the Walnut Room as part of the Mercury Sauce (a Denver production and publishing company) music showcase.

In this video Hawkins’ performs “Do What I Gotta Do.” Is it a new song from an upcoming project? We’ll see. Check it out:
